I have learnt quite a few things from the Internet; How to download music, how to download movies, how to download music and movies for free and how to look at naked pictures of girls. Yes all things that every man already knows and are Internet applications that we learnt in grade 6, but there is more to the Internet. If you look at the Internet very closely you can find the beat of human civilization going through it, knowledge of our time on earth is all right here on the Internet waiting for us to extract it and to be placed in our own brains. Now, as you know the Internet is run by nerds and when complying our list of hottest women of 2009 we obviously went on the internet and found out who the nerds thought was one of the hottest girls of 2009. Without a doubt, and with a loud oxygen deprived voice the nerds of the world told us that Zoe Saldana was definitely the #17 hottie of 2009.

Zoe Saldana has made a good career move and spent 2009 working on two huge science fiction movies that have two giant nerd followings. One was the summer blockbuster Star Trek in which she played Uhura who is the hottest girl in outer space by far. The second is James Cameron’s Avatar which is coming out this Friday and already has the nerds gasping for air. Two huge franchises that showcased Zoe Saldana’s talents to the geekburgers of the Internet and that won their hearts and votes.

And for us it wasn’t hard at all putting Zoe on the list, I mean look at her. She’s fucking hot.

Zoe Saldana played Uhura in the recent Star Trek film and today we get to see her in some bikinis. Today is a good day to be a Star Trek fan and a good day for guys who like girls who are in bikinis. Which basically covers all of us guys who like girls, so I don’t really have to say anything else. We can all just look at the pictures now and know that trekkies and normal guys do have something in common. Thank you Details Magazine for bringing us all together.

Weekend Box Office Numbers

old-movie-theatre

The weekend is over and so is the summer. That means that the summer blockbusters are over too. This year seemed a little weak even though it was actually a strong summer thanks to Transformers, Angels and Demons, Wolverine, Star Trek and Harry Potter but none of those movies really stick out as anything above the norm. The best one out of the lot was probably Star Trek but that came out at the very beginning and seems like such a long time ago that it should almost not even be on this list. There were a few surprise gems this summer that some of us caught, Inglourious Basterds opened up last weekend and really impressed, 500 Days of Summer redeemed Cobra Commander as a actor (I’m talking about Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and of course The Hangover was the comedy of the summer. All in all the summer wasn’t bad for movies overall but the tent pole studio flicks did disappoint more then we thought. Here is hoping that next summer we will have something crazy going on or at least a Will Smith movie.

This weekends numbers

1 The Final Destination $28,335,000
2 Inglourious Basterds $20,041,000
3 Halloween II (2009) $17,405,000
4 District 9 $10,700,000
5 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra $8,000,000

Here is the trailer for the Hustler porno spoof of Star Trek. Hustler has been producing some awesome spoofs as of late and I guess we can add this one to the list. Love that old set and the creepy factor of old nerds taking their love of the series into a very strange place. WSF in case you were wondering.

JJ Abrams (Director of Star Trek and Mission Impossible 3) has told TV Guide that he has been asked to work on Mission Impossible 4. He annouced that he would be on as a Producer the next film in Tom Cruise’s franchise but he did not say who would be directing. Chances are he probably will probably not be behind the lens for this fourth movie but you never know.

The Land of The Lost film failed to be the contender that everyone thought it was going to be as you can see in the top 5 list below.

1 The Hangover $44,979,319
2 Up $44,138,266
3 Land of the Lost $18,837,350

Box Office Numbers: Night at the Museum ruled

The weekend box office numbers are in and Ben Stiller beat The Terminator. Summer blockbusters can come out of no where and while you would have expected a film like Terminator to crush its competitors it was unable to do so thanks to Ben Stiller and his family friendly movie. It wasn’t a huge surprise to the critics of the film but I’m sure it was to the fans of the Terminator series that were hoping to have a Star Trek like franchise back in the fold. But that’s Hollywood and even though it came in second it was still a good pull by McG and Bale. The other big surprise this weekend was the fact that Dance Flick made it into the top 5.

1 Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian $53,500,000
2 Terminator Salvation $43,010,000
3 Star Trek $22,783,000
4 Angels & Demons $21,800,000
5 Dance Flick $10,734,000
